As part of the GEOSAVE project, students and teachers from Gimnazija Vukovar hosted a workshop titled “Geothermal Energy Sources in Vukovar”. The event, held on October 14, 2025, took place at the Vukovar City Library in the “Spajalica” Department.

During the workshop, participants explored the potential of geothermal energy in the Vukovar area. Situated in the Pannonian geothermal region, Vukovar benefits from ideal conditions for geothermal energy use, with ground temperatures ranging from 50–75 °C, making it suitable for heating applications

Students also showcased innovation by creating a working model of a watermill. This project combined tradition with modern technology and programming to demonstrate the conversion of water energy into mechanical and electrical energy. The model was enhanced with microcontrollers and sensors to measure water flow and blade speed, enabling data collection on energy production.
